From 19th to 23rd March 2014 was held the 33rd largest European exhibition of creative design in Dortmund (Germany) – “Creativa 2014”.
“Fashion Magazine” Editorial Board took part in the exhibition and was happy to present our magazine and our show there.
About 700 exhibitors from Germany and abroad will present everything to do with needlework, painting, drawing, handicrafts, jewellery, dolls and decoration at the Westfalenhallen Dortmund exhibition centre on five days.
A large range of creative materials, products, techniques and action areas await the visitors in six halls with more than 40,000 square metres of exhibition space. Both end users and trade visitors, beginners and professionals are addressed.
Apart from the classic exhibition, the visitors are offered numerous interactive special shows and creativity workshops that invite visitors to participate and design. Besides trendy topics like crocheting and knitting, sewing or arts and crafts, three accompanying special exhibitions are also offered: The “LandGarten” horticulture and country life exhibition, the “Puppen- & Barenmarkt” doll and bear market and the “PerlenExpo” pearl exhibition.
It is true to say that CREATIVA is the largest and most diverse designer studio of the continent. Five days will be dedicated to creative design in halls 3B to 8.
Hall 3B: All lovers and friends of dolls and bears will get their money’s worth, for the second time, at the exhibition weekend of 22nd / 23rd March. An impressive programme awaits the
visitors at the Doll & Bear Market. Hildegard Gьnzel, the internationally renowned doll artist from Duisburg, is regarded as the absolute figurehead of the scene. She will bring exhibits
of her 2014 collection to the Westfallenhallen exhibition centre and will create a doll face live at the exhibition – certainly the highlight of the Doll & Bear Market. There will also be a large
number of other artists’ dolls, reborn dolls, teddy bears and accessories.
Hall 4: Partner country Kenya will present globalisation effects, culture and life in Kenya in great depth as part of guided tours for visitors.
A good mix of international fashion, art, handicraft and design can be seen from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all five exhibition days.
Hall 5: The “LandGarten” horticulture and country life special exhibition is the “green meeting place” of CREATIVA. The “PerlenExpo” exhibition will celebrate its 5th anniversary in hall 5 and there were presented Swarovski elements, seed beads, beads.
Hall 6: Workshops and presentations will determine the activities. Renowned guilds, clubs and networks will give numerous presentations on lacemaking, patchwork, weaving, spinning, embroidering and felting within the scope of the Textile Handicraft Forum.
Hall 7: “BE CREATIVE in your region!” – That’s the motto under which five clubs and groups from Dortmund and surroundings will present themselves.
Hall 8: The race is on for the new handicraft season! The creative industry will present the latest trends, give advice and show tricks in spacious workshop areas.
We brought wonderful mood from Dortmund to Kiev. We met many new friends and colleagues there. Our magazine has attracted great interest from visitors and exhibitors.
Our Editorial Board wants to note the excellent organization of the exhibition, business atmosphere and creative attitude.
