VIII International Exhibition of Fancy and Creative Work "Masters` Golden Hands"



On October 18-20, 2013 “Fashion Magazine” – “Fashion Handmade” Editorial Board organized
8 th International Show of Fancy and Creative Work “Master`s Golden Hands” and 4 th International contest “Beaded Exclusive – 2013”, all of them held in the International Exhibition Centre.

About 9 thousand visitors and 35 groups of pupils came to see the Show. 15 radio and TV channels and 17 newspapers, magazines and Internet portals reported the Show.

16 companies and online shops, more than 80 masters sold their products for handwork. The exhibitors were from Ukraine, Russia, USA, Germany, Japan, Latvia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Georgia, Ireland.  

For the first time in Ukraine was presented the products of such company as MIYUKI.CO.LTD (Japan). MIYUKI.CO.LTD – is the manufacturer of the world`s finest beads, which presented its new development. The owners of the company held a presentation of their materials for Ukrainian designers. Visitors were able to receive the information about new products for hobby and crafts, hear lectures and consultations about their using.

For the first time in Ukraine was presented the collection of the exclusive thimbles and things for sewing of XVIII-XXI century from collection of Nadezhda Avdienko (Kiev). It was called “Small exhibition in a big city”. 
The exhibition presented both traditional and new directions in the field of hobby and leisure. Here you could not only enjoy the beauty, but also choose a favourite occupation and try to make a project of your own during the classes. There were held unique classes of such designers as Huib Petersen (USA) – beading; Irine Prisiazhnyuk (Russia, St. Petersburg) – beading; Irine Slobodianik (Ukraine , Kiev) – frivolite and ankars; Olga Shabalina (Ukraine, Kiev) – decoupage and felting; Elena Markune and Vitaliy Markunas (Lithuania, Vilnius) – a sculpture of matches; Vadim Smolianinov (Russia, Belgorod) – lampwork.
During the Exhibition was the presentation of the book “Silk Ribbon and Embroidery” and meeting with the author.

Also during the Show was the final part of “Beaded Exclusive – 2013” contest.
Twenty seven designers from Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan and Ireland took part in the contest. Works were evaluated by international jury, consisting of famous designers and teachers from USA( Huib Petersen, Betsy Youngquist), from designer and winner of many contests, the author of beading books(Anna Bystrik, Ukraine) and editor of Fashion Magazine – Elena Vetrova.
People could try on and buy collectible masterpieces of handmade beauty.
For the first time all interested exhibitors had the opportunity to take part in “Minute of Fame”. There each artist could present their collections and to tell the story of their creation, share experiences, to invite to visit their classes.
During the Exhibition, the collection of designers hats (Ilona Schaslyva) and corsets (Nataliya Mkrtchian) and also the Show of exclusive bags from Nataliya Grishaeva was going on.

Everybody could also see fashion show collection of casual and evening jewelleries of such designers as Huib Petersen (USA) and Irina Prisiazhnyuk (Russia).

On behalf of the organizers we would like to say thank you to the model agency “Angel Fashion Studio” and also to their leader - Olga Pokrovskaya.

 Collections of children`s clothing were presented during the Show for the visitors and for the guests. The first collection was created and presented by participants of the circle “Design and Fashion” folk art department of the Kiev Place of Children and Youth cruise collection of t-shirts “Yacht Club”. All t-shirts created by children under the guidance of Katerina Siryk. The second author`s collection of children`s handmade dresses “Margo Magnifique” from “Hand Miracles” magazine under the guidance of Galyna Sovenko.

It was a real Festival of creativity and beauty. All the visitors got fresh funds of vital energy, people were making acquaintances, inventing new projects. Masters were findings connoisseurs of their art and customers were buying souvenirs and exclusive presents. Well-known designers were sharing experience and beginners could get encouragement and assertiveness.

Events of this kind bring joy, inspiration, desire for creation and making beauty.
